"I didn't really think these would have much bass. So I tried. If I had bigger box an not the normal 6x9 box perhaps bass would of been better. Don't misunderstand me, these things produce great bass. Its no 10 or 12' sub. So I put my amp on mids. An thats where I kept them. I know have sub box for my silverado an I plan on using the 6x9's hopefully in my front doors? They might be to deep? If the grill spacer wasn't with the new speakers I would of had to make a thin spacer due to magnets depth an hitting back of box. Definitely will recommend these speakers. I only had a Phoenix gold 300. 1 running them."

"I have a classic 1983 BMW 5 series. Just added a pair of these 6x9 subs w/6x9 enclosure boxes on the rear window deck; replacing my Polk Audio 3-way 6x9 speakers. My system is equipped with my 4 channel 600w amp, Kenwood BT/CD Head unit (50w per channel) and (2) 4x6 w/1. 5"" tweeters in front and (2) 5. 25 2-way w/1. 5"" tweeters. WOW! I am am a big jazz lover, but also love all genres of music. These subs bring out wonderful mid-bass and thumping lows w/o having to add an addition amp to my system. The sound is crystal clear with no distortion at deep lows. We set them up with the mono setting, on a dedicated channel. This brought out an incredible sound separation. I now have the full range studio sound that I have been chasing. These Rockville RVL69W made all the difference in achieving the level of 5-star quality sound I was trying to get. The beauty of it all is. . . I still have all of my trunk space in the car. Nice job Rockville!!"
